A chase through downtown Topeka has resulted in the arrest of at least one person.
Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers tried to stop the driver of the car near 25th and Button Rd. around 12:15pm Tuesday.
When the car didn’t stop, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department joined in on the chase.
The chase didn’t reach high speeds according to dispatchers, but the car did avoid stop sticks.
The driver lead authorities up Topeka Blvd. and then stopped at Gordon.
With guns drawn, troopers took the driver into custody.
No word on what charges the driver will face. Also no word on why the driver ran.
