Ichabods take high scoring homecoming win to stay unbeaten

Mitch Buhler threw five touchdown passes, four of them in the second half, as the Ichabods won a slugfest with Lindenwood 44-35 Saturday for homecoming at Yager Stadium.  The two teams changed leads several times until Washburn took it back for good just before the end of the third quarter on Buhler’s  scoring toss to Matt Kobbeman.  He also found Tore Hurst twice and brother Mitch Buhler for second half scores as well as an early touchdown pass to Vershon Moore.  Cody Heiman ran for 88 yards and the other Washburn touchdown.  The Ichabods are now 8-0 on the season as they get ready for a top 10 showdown next week at Northwest Missouri.
