Kansas State rallied from a 12-7 deficit to beat West Virginia Saturday afternoon in Manhattan 35-12. The win gave the Wildcats their first Big 12 win this season, and improved their overall record to 3-4.
K-State trailed 9-7 at halftime, but took a 14-12 advantage into the fourth quarter. That’s when the sputtering offense took off. First Tramaine Thompson scored on a 30 yard pass from Jake Waters. Then, Waters connected with Tyler Lockett for a 24 yard score. John Hubert capped off the scoring with a four yard run.
Lockett returned from an injury in a big way, accumulating 111 yards on eight catches including three touchdowns. Hubert led all rushers with 86 yards and a score, while Waters was 10-13 passing for 198 yards and three touchdowns.
Kansas State hosts Iowa State next Saturday at 2:30.
