There will be one Kansas team for sure in the Final Four of a post-season basketball tournament – the Kansas State women. The Wildcats rode a 15-0 run in the first half to breeze past Illinois 66-48 Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum in the quarter-finals of the W-NIT. Brittany Chambers led the way again with 21 points but this time she had plenty of help from Chantay Caron with 19 and Haley Texada with 16 points. Ten of Texada’s points came during that early run, including the basket which gave K-State a 9-8 lead to start it. The Cats shot 47% and forced 18 Illini turnovers, leading to 22 points. The Cats are now 19-17. They will host Utah Wednesday night at 7:00. Florida will meet either Auburn or Drexel in the other semi-final.
