OK Quake Felt In Kansas

The United States Geological Survey’s (USGS) is reporting an earthquake near Edmond, OK could be felt as far north as Wichita.

Just after noon Sunday, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake was reported by the survey near Edmond.

While there are no reports of damage, there are reports of the quake being felt in Mulvane and Wichita, Kansas.

Rick McClure who lives in Wichita tells WIBW NewsNow that his china hutch vibrated in his home.

Patrick McDonald is in Arkansas City says, “Sitting at the computer I watched my monitor start swaying. I felt it a bit, but saw it even more.”

Back in Nov. of 2011, a 4.7 earthquake was reported near Oklahoma City and in October 2010, a 4.3 Earthquake was reported near Norman, OK. Both of those were also felt in Kansas with reports from Arkansas City, Winfield, Mulvane and Wichita.
