Man Found In Car Shot In The Neck


Police are investigating the shooting of at least one person after they were found inside a car in east Topeka.

Emergency crews were called to the parking lot of Advance Auto Parts near 17th and Kansas around 10:15pm Wednesday night for the report of someone being shot.

When they arrived on scene, a man was found in a car shot, possibly in the neck.

The 21-year-old man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Police believe the man was possibly shot in the 2700 block of SE Illinois, where they received several reports if gunshots being heard.

The back window and the back driver side windows were busted out, and several bullet holes were seen in the drivers side of the car.
