Authorities have arrested a man accused of breaking into his estranged wife’s home before blasting her with a stun gun and pepper spray and kidnapping their 3-year-old son.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said Sunday afternoon that an Amber Alert for 3-year-old Luke Turner had been canceled, and the child is safe. The father was arrested at a motel in Brandon, Manitoba in Canada at about 1:30 p.m.
Police say Monty Turner, assaulted his wife at her Longmont, Colo., home Saturday and left with their child. A court order prohibits the father from contacting his wife and son.
The boy’s grandfather was pulled over earlier Sunday in southwest Missouri on a warrant for second-degree kidnapping. He was driving a vehicle with a license plate number listed on an Amber Alert.

Longmont Police Cmdr. Jeff Satur tells The Denver Post the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Ronald Turner early Sunday.
Police say 51-year-old Monty Ray Turner assaulted his wife at her Longmont home Saturday and left with his son, Luke Turner. Monty Turner has a protection order prohibiting him from contacting his wife and son.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has issued an Amber Alert for 3-yearold Luke Turner. He was last seen May 25 in Longmont, Colorado, wearing a royal blue “Lightning McQueen” shirt and light blue swim shorts.

Ronald Turner, who KUSA-TV reports was arrested as an accessory to the kidnapping, was pulled over outside Springfield, MO. Satur says the boy and his father might be in another car or might have been dropped off somewhere.
