Topeka Police confirm for WIBW NewsNow that two people were arrested after allegedly burglarizing the home where three people were found dead.
According to Police, they released the home at 1629 SW Central Park as a crime scene around midnight last night.
Police dispatchers then received a call saying there were people inside the home around 4:30 a.m. this morning.
When officers arrived, they found two people in the backyard with items from inside the home. Officers arrested Jamal T. Booker 23 years old of Topeka and Reginald M. Rucker, age 29 of Topeka and then took them to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning. They were later taken to the Department of Corrections where they were booked in on charges of burglary, theft, criminal damage and obstruction that occurred at this residence.
Capt. Scott Conklin could not say if the two arrested had any connection to the homicide investigation or the victims.
Crime Stoppers continues to offer an award for up to $8,000 for information leading to an arrest in the recent homicides.
