Golf, tennis and volleyball were on the menu for city squads on Wednesday.

GIRLS GOLF

Washburn Rural competed in the St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational, an event where players teamed up for alternate shot, four ball, and scramble play, at Overland Park Golf Club.

GIRLS TENNIS

Hayden took home first place at the Baldwin Invitational, with junior Rhen Calhoon the individual champion at #1 singles:

Highland Park, Shawnee Heights, Topeka High, and Topeka West took to the courts at Kossover Tennis Center for the Topeka High Invitational. The Trojans took third as a team with both of their doubles pairings finishing second. Topeka West was fourth with both of their singles players placing third.

VOLLEYBALL

Seaman, the ninth ranked team in class 5A in the latest KVA rankings, hosted a triangular and went 1-1 on the night. They earned a two-set victory over league rival Emporia 25-12, 25-15, and dropped a tough three-setter to Free State 21-25, 25-21, 18-25.
