The NFL draft is drawing closer every day, and the search for your favorite team’s next superstar (or bust) is underway. The draft process is a highly scrutinized one form a variety of angles, with countless outlets and analysts finding countless ways to evaluate and rate prospects. Luckily for you, 580 Sports Talk is here with a composite big board.
The goal of this big board is to give you a look at the average ranking of the top prospects in this year’s draft class.
Our composite board comprises 13 different rankings, from the biggest names in the draft business to those from niche websites to our own in-house board. The data from each ranking was combined, averaged out and re-ranked in our composite. By averaging out these 10 different rankings, we can give you the (approximate) consensus top 100 draft prospects.
The most important limitation to keep in mind is that only players who were ranked by three or more outlets are included here to remove some level of outliers.
Here’s the big board, ordered by composite ranking with the average ranking for each player listed as well.
Latest update, 4/24/19, 5:09 PM: The final update to the board is a big one, including five new boards and three updates, bringing us to 20 total.
