Jordan Floyd is ready to pitch for his home town team as soon as possible. Floyd will get that chance as he will head to Surprise, Arizona just two days after the former Shawnee Heights T-Bird was drafted number 300 in the 10th round by the Kansas City Royals.
Floyd finished his career at Kansas State this past spring and he set a record for most appearances by a pitcher in a K-state Uniform.
Floyd, who was drafted by the Yankees out of high school, said the feeling was different this time as he know feels he is ready to face pro players.
Floyd appeared on 580 Sports Talk to discuss how the day and getting drafted all went down.
