The Washburn volleyball team is remains ranked third for the second-consecutive week in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association top-25 poll, which was released Monday afternoon. The Ichabods are 24-2 overall this season and are 16-2 in MIAA matches.
Washburn has just two matches left in the regular season when they travel to Central Missouri and to Northwest Missouri State.
The Ichabods went to the final four a year ago and they graduated their quarterback, Shayla Conner, in steps in Alison Sadler, now a junior, to the crucial role of quarterback for the volleyball team. Sadler and this Ichabod team haven’t missed a beat as she has been outstanding this year to the tune of over 11 sets per game.
Sadler spoke about the transition from her freshman year to her now junior year, what she learned from Conner, how on earth she processes the sets she makes to different players and when was the key point for this team during the season.
