The boys swimming season became the first winter sport to conclude its season with the state meet this weekend at the Capital Federal Natatorium in Topeka.

In the 6A meet, Washburn Rural finished seventh as a team, with three individuals and one relay team making the finals.

Seaman placed fifth in 5A, with five swimmers and one relay team going through to the finals, while Shawnee Heights had Luke Perkins qualify for the finals in both of his events.

Blue Valley West won the 6A team title, while The Independent School paced the 5-1A field.
