Man arrested after stealing power tools from Habitat for Humanity

An Ogden man was arrested early this morning in connection to the theft of power tools and other construction items from Habitat for Humanity. 

Nicholas Paul Lambert, 23, is confined in the Riley County Jail on offenses of making false information, burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property. 

On Thursday, February 20th, a trailer belonging to Habitat for Humanity was forcibly entered and various power tools were taken for a loss of approximately $7,000.00.  On Monday, February 24th, two of the stolen tools were recovered from Wildcat Pawn and Jewelry in Manhattan.  Officers and detectives conducted follow-up investigation with assistance from Wildcat Pawn and Jewelry to determine the person who pawned the items. 

Nearly all of the 75 tools and other items stolen from Habitat for Humanity were recovered and returned to the organization. 

Lambert is being held on an $8,000.00 bond. The investigation is ongoing.
