One arrested for Osage County Burglary; Others Still At Large

A burglary near Burlingame brings a Topeka man to jail.

According to Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn, her officers were called to the 9900 block of west 177th Street just after noon Thursday.

A citizen near there called the sheriff’s office to report a suspicious truck with three people in it and gave specific details regarding the occupants.

The vehicle was stopped by a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper in Topeka and 26-year-old Jacob Wright of Topeka was arrested for for burglary, theft, criminal damage to property, and trafficking contraband into a correctional facility. Wright is being held at the Osage County Jail pending formal charges.

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas Highway Patrol, and Topeka Police Department then executed two search warrants in the 3200 and 3300 blocks of SW Oakley Avenue in Topeka and recovered stolen property.
