A semi driver was hospitalized Friday afternoon after becoming trapped underneath his truck.
According to the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, a 36-year-old Texas man had pulled his tractor-trailer over on US Highway 75, just north of NW 46th Street, to work on the vehicle’s brakes.
While doing the work, he became pinned under the frame of the tractor.
Deputy Shayna Anderson says sheriff’s deputies and troopers with the Kansas Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
His name has not been released.
