A Great Bend man wanted on warrants in three counties is behind bars in Jackson County.
Forty-three-year-old Eric Paul Shoemaker of Great Bend was arrested at a home in Denison after Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received information that Shoemaker was in the area.
Deputies approached a residence where Shoemaker was seen.
Shoemaker refused initially to come to the door.
Deputies communicated with Shoemaker at length and were able to convince him to surrender peacefully.
Shoemaker had outstanding warrants in Barton, Pawnee, and Ford counties for failing to register as a sex offender, probation violations and failing to appear on a domestic battery charge.
Shoemaker is currently in the Jackson County Jail without bond.
