The “NOTO Arts and Antique Festival” begins on Friday in Topeka

The North Topeka Arts and Entertainment District is hosting the “NOTO Arts and Antique Festival” this Friday and Saturday, March 15 – 16, 2019, at the Great Overland Station, located at 701 N. Kansas Avenue in Topeka.

Featuring high-quality art and antiques from the region and beyond, the festival will, also, offer a variety of workshops offered by local experts on topics related to the arts and antiques.

“We’ve got a variety of artists and antique exhibitors who are going to be with us,” said 39 West Gallery owner Staci Ogle. “Everything from re-purposed metal pieces and sculptures to vintage handmade instruments and a lot of fine art… We’ve got twenty-four exhibitors with us over the weekend. So, it’s going to be a really great event!”

Although NOTO has hosted arts and antique festivals in the past within the district, it is the first time that the event will bring all of their vendors together indoors.

“We’ve been working to try to expand the boundaries of NOTO and so we thought, what a perfect opportunity to partner with the Great Overland Station to get them included in what we do down there,” said Ogle.

Guests will, also, have an opportunity to enhance their own artistic abilities as they attend a variety of workshops offered on Saturday in the district.

“We’ve got some special programming that’s going to be happening on Saturday within the district,” said Ogle. “So, when you come down to the Festival and you see everything that we’ve got inside The Great Overland Station, then you can pick and choose between the multiple events that we have going on on Saturday.”

The Festival is open to the public between 130 pm and 7 pm on Friday and from 9 am until 4 pm on Saturday.
