Topeka police say two people were hospitalized Thursday night in separate stabbing incidents.
Lt. Kelvin Johnson says the first stabbing happened around 8:30 at the Kwik Shop located at 1114 NW Topeka Blvd.
Johnson says the victim was stabbed in the 1200 block of NW Harrison and walked to the Kwik Shop. The suspect was found a short time later walking on the Topeka Boulevard bridge. He was arrested without incident.
Around 11:30 p.m., police were called to an apartment complex in the 1300 block of SW Polk.
According to a news release, the victim told police he was stabbed by a woman who fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a thin, five-foot, one-inch black woman in her 30s or 40s. She was wearing dark shorts with a pink top and armed with a medium-sized knife.

As of Friday morning, police have not released the names of either victim or the suspect in the first stabbing.
