At 2:28 a.m. on Tuesday morning, the Manhattan Fire Department was dispatched to 711 Allison Avenue for a report of an apartment fire. Upon arrival, crews found a three-story apartment building with fire showing from a third-floor balcony.

Riley County Police Department officers notified the occupants of the building and all occupants had exited the building prior to our arrival.  The fire reached a second alarm before it was contained within 10 minutes. A total of 21 firefighters responded on six fire apparatus with the last units still on scene at the time of the release.  No injuries were reported.

The building is a three-story 12-unit apartment building. The fire appears to have started on the third-floor balcony and the damage occurred mostly to the exterior and attic areas of the building. The loss to the building is not available at the time of the release. The owner is listed as Francis Properties, with the resident agent being listed as Patrick Lee of St. George.
