Roger McEowen, Kansas Farm Bureau Professor of Agricultural Law and Taxation with the Washburn University School of Law joined us on Monday’s Ag Issues program. The focus of the program was on the discussion on does a pollutant discharge from groundwater into a WOTUS require a federal permit. McEowen discussed three cases from the Ninth Circuit, Fourth Circuit and Sixth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court taking up the case from the Ninth Circuit specficially looking at the case from Maui County Hawaii. McEowen says the decision on this case could have significant impacts on U.S. farmers.
