Wichita man pleads guilty to robbing bank

A Wichita man pleaded guilty today in federal court to robbing a bank.

57-year-old Timothy B. Riggans of Wichita pleaded guilty to committing a robbery on July 30, 2018, at Emprise Bank in Wichita.  Riggans approached a teller and demanded money. A security guard apprehended him outside the bank with the stolen money.

Sentencing is set for May 11th.  He could face a penalty of up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
